Speaking at the Carnegie Africa Forum in Washington D.C., I underscored the urgency of embracing innovative governance and strategic investments for Africa’s development.

It’s vital for us, as African leaders, to implement forward-thinking policies that stimulate economic growth and social progress.

Above all, Africa must speak with one voice for its development and we must ensure that Africa’s vast potential is fully harnessed globally.

Presented as part of the 2024 Carnegie Africa Forum, the special one-day event brought together global thought leaders to discuss the continent’s role in international cooperation. Hosted by the Carnegie Africa program, this event leveraged the dynamic network of scholars and repository of policy analysis that the program has developed since its founding in 2021 to highlight Africa’s role in the era of climate change, evolving great power competition, and the digital revolution.
